Introduction

A overseas company wished to build an airplane model to scale for imparting training to crew members. The aircraft model was fabricated in parts and shipped overseas. Each part had interior fit-outs and functional engineering equipment.

Key considerations

  • Engineering equipment was designed such that it would be functional when all parts were assembled at site.

  • Preparation of GFC and shop drawings.

  • Co-ordination with structural engineers.

Conclusion

The airplane model was shipped and successfully assembled at site as planned. This was achieved due to precision engineering.
